The privacy of those who visit our Website is of primary concern to us. Any data that is gathered from users is done with the sole purpose of enhancing the experience of users on the PallyFace site. None of this information is shared with outside parties.

categories of data collected

Users of PallyFace may choose to remain entirely anonymous or to log in (authenticate) with a third-party provider (e.g. Google, Amazon)
For anonymous users, PallyFace will store quiz-play activity (quizzes played and scores) using an anonymous identifier. Anonymous users are not allowed to author quizzes, connect with friends, create profiles or play challenges.
For authenticated users, PallyFace will store the photo and unique identifier provided by the third-party authentication provider. In some cases, the unique identifier will be an email address. In those cases, PallyFace will auto-create a user identification value that does not include the entire email address. The actual email address will not be persisted (stored) in any backend system and will never be displayed to other users. Authenticated users can choose to create one or more Profile records and use one of those profiles record as their identity on the site. In that case, the photo provided by the third-party authentication provider will not be visible to any other users. If the user does not create and use a profile record, the photo provided by the third-party provider will be their default avatar and will therefore be visible to other users of the site. Authenticated users are allowed to create and edit their own quizzes. They will appear as the author on any created quiz that they decide to publish to be played by other users. Authenticated users can also connect with other authenticated users via Friend requests. The following summarizes the categories of data stored:
Photo: Provided by authentication provider, visible by default, can be hidden by use of a profile record
Email: Provided by some providers, masked and never shown to other users. Not stored in any backend system
Authored quizzes: Once published, available for play by other users. Author profile visible to other user.
Friend Requests: Each friend request is a one-to-one request visible only to the two parties (the user making the request and the one receiving it)

cookies

PallyFace reserves the right to store information on your computer in the form of a cookie or similar file for purposes of modifying this Website to reflect your preferences. Cookies allow us to respond to you as an individual, thus allowing us to personalize, customize and quickly process and complete your quiz playing and quiz building experience without having to continually request the same basic information from you. Cookies do not give us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data which you choose to share with us, and are not used to store any personal information such as name or address

Users can at any time and for any reason request a review of the data stored related to their usage of PallyFace by sending an email to info@eggspurtz.com

disclosure to authorities

PallyFace reserves the right and may be forced to disclose any and all information to government bodies or government officials or third parties under certain circumstances or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. As such, you authorize PallyFace to disclose any and all information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with any investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements or other activity that is, or may be, illegal or that may expose PallyFace to legal liability.

your representations

You represent that you fit at least one of the following descriptions while using the PallyFace site:
1) You are using the site anonymously (not logged in) and thus limited per the description of anonymous users above
2) You are 13 years of age or older and are not providing access to your device, login or profile records to any other person
3) Your are 18 years of age or older and are not under any legal or other disability which limits your ability to comply with this Policy. You agree to oversee and accept all responsibility for any other person that uses your device and/or login to access the site, whether they present themselves using your default authentication record or as a created profile record.

effective date

This policy is effective from September 4, 2020

notification of change

If and when changes are made to this policy, users will be alerted upon their next visit to the site. Because PallyFace does not collect email information, there is no mechanism available for notification outside of the site itself
